Order tickets now for the 35th Annual REALTOR® of the Year Banquet, scheduled for June 21 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield.

The event will honor the accomplishments of 25 local association REALTORS® of the Year (ROTY)  and the Illinois REALTORS® ROTY Chris Read. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. The deadline for ordering tickets is June 15.

Among those being honored are:

William “Bill” Jenkins of Classic Homes in Danville serves on the board for the Danville Area Board of REALTORS® and is a member of the MLS Committee. Active in real estate for 20 years, he’s volunteered with the Danville Kiwanis, the Vermillion County Heart Association and was instrumental in the Big Brothers Big Sisters first Bowl for Kids Sake.

Paula Cooley of Paula Childs Realtors® in Decatur has served on the Decatur Association of REALTORS® since 1978. She’s served several terms on the board of directors, including president in 1992. She’s been chair of the MLS Committee and and has been on several other local committees.

Suzanne Wood of Coldwell Banker Allen & Geary in Centralia represents the Egyptian Board of REALTORS®. Currently the secretary/treasurer and chair of the Legislative Committee, she’s been involved with this local association since the 1990s. Wood has also served on the state’s REALTOR® Relief Foundation Review Board.

Kevin Botterbush of Botterbush & Associates in Godfrey is the ROTY for the Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS®. He has served on the Greater Gateway’s board of directors and several local committees. He is a pre-license instructor for the local and is the coordinator for the real estate program at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey.

Phil Szyjka of Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell in McHenry is on the board of directors for the Heartland REALTOR® Organization and serves on the Professional Standards Committee and the Grievance Committee, too.

The banquet is jointly sponsored by the Illinois REALTORS® and REEF.
