Bicentennial Plaza bricksDonate a brick and leave a legacy for future generations

Buy a brick and add your name to the brick walkway of Bicentennial Plaza – A REALTOR® Community Partnership, a beautifully designed pedestrian walkway connecting Abraham Lincoln’s home to the east with the Illinois Governor’s Mansion and state Capitol to the west along the historic Jackson Street Corridor in downtown Springfield.

History comes alive in Springfield, where you can walk in the footsteps of our 16th President Abraham Lincoln, as he did from 1837 to 1847 in the area of the Bicentennial Plaza. This tree-lined public space will revitalize the corridor, providing opportunities for REALTOR® and civic community events.

Your personalized brick donation to the REEF Bicentennial Education Fund helps fund the Plaza’s educational interpretive panels: “Abraham Lincoln’s Vision for America, dedicated to the people who lived and worked here to advance that vision.” The Plaza also features a monument commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, which was signed on April 11, 2018.
