Order tickets now for the 35th Annual REALTOR® of the Year Banquet, scheduled for June 21 at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield.

The event will honor the accomplishments of 25 local association REALTORS® of the Year (ROTY)  and the Illinois REALTORS® ROTY Chris Read. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. The deadline for ordering tickets is June 15.

Among those being honored are:

Marvin Sandel of Coldwell Banker Heart of America in Bloomington served as president of the Bloomington-Normal Association of REALTORS® in 2007. He’s been active with many local organizations, including the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.

Michael Buscher of the Real Estate Group, Inc., in Springfield, was president of the Capital Area REALTORS® in 2015 and 2000. He’s served on various local and state committees. Currently he’s president of the Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) and on the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors.

Bruce Steinke of Shelby Realty in Shelbyville will represent the Central Illinois Board of REALTORS®. He’s the secretary/treasurer of his local association, and a member of the board of directors. Active in real estate since 1987, Steinke is also a member of the Shelby County Board of Appeals, the Shelbyville Memorial Hospital Board and is a lieutenant in the Shelby County Sheriff’s Reserve Unit.

Max McComb of RE/MAX Realty Associates is the Champaign County Association of REALTORS® ROTY. He joined the local board in 2008 and has served on multiple committees, the board of directors, chaired the Education Committee and now is the executive committee’s secretary/treasurer.

Matt Farrell of Urban Real Estate in Chicago is the Chicago Association of REALTORS® ROTY. He’s a past president of the local association and the founding chair of its Young Professionals Network.  He remains active for the local, state and national associations. As an NAR director, he’s constantly trying to identify ways to leverage technology to better the industry and the association.
