You may be eligible for a tuition reimbursement scholarship or grant through the Real Estate Educational Foundation or GI Bill®. For some grants and scholarships, students must apply prior to enrolling in a course. Review the scholarship descriptions for details.
Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF)
The Illinois Real Estate Educational Foundation (REEF) is a not-for-profit organization established to aid and promote real estate education throughout Illinois. Scholarships are awarded to students of real estate and related fields of study at colleges and universities both within and outside Illinois, to candidates of the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) of Illinois program, and to those furthering their knowledge in the field of association management and leadership.
Tuition reimbursement scholarships such as the Illinois Education and Training Grant and Illinois Minority Real Estate Scholarship Program may help offset pre-license education costs. Application materials for tuition reimbursement scholarships to be used on pre-license courses must be submitted prior to enrollment. Please see the REEF Scholarships page for more information.
GI Bill® Tuition Reimbursement
Under the guidelines, GI Bill® benefits may be applied to Illinois REALTORS® pre-license classroom courses (live classroom training only). Qualified veterans must pay all tuition costs upfront to the branch providing the live training and will receive reimbursement if approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Call (888) 442-4551 to find out if you qualify. To apply, complete and submit the Request for Veterans Benefits to the Illinois REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center.
