Legislation that swept money from the Real Estate License Administration Fund (RELAF) became law, and a bill which would add costs for property sellers who would be required to pay for a video sewer inspection is still before lawmakers, according to the IAR State Capitol Report.

But these issues were just a small part of the action at the Capitol last week, as the IAR State Capitol Report reveals with 15 different updates on 25 real estate-related bills. While 6,300 bills were introduced during the spring session, those that were not called for a hearing by the sponsors by last Friday’s deadline (March 27) will become inactive unless the sponsors can get approval to reactivate them or attach language to another pending bill.
