Among the 24 local REALTORS® who’ll be honored at the 36th Annual REALTOR® of the Year Banquet will be Wayne Kurchina, Laura Boyer and Andrea Greenwalt.

The event will attract members from all over the state to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield on June 6. The guest of honor will be Illinois REALTOR® of the Year Sue Miller, managing broker for Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group, in McHenry. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. The deadline for ordering tickets is May 30. Tickets are $75 each.

Here are some details about the three local winners mentioned above:
Wayne Kurchina of ILrealty, Inc., Kurchina & Associates in McHenry will represent the Heartland REALTOR® Organization (HRO). Kurchina served Heartland in many capacities, including local organization president in 2016. He’s been on the Illinois REALTORS® Commercial/Industrial/Investment Committee for three years. He is broker-owner of ILrealty, Inc. Kurchina & Associates.
Laura Boyer of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group of Sycamore will represent the Hometown Association of REALTORS®. Boyer has served as Hometown president, on its Social Public Relations Committee. She won the Lamplighter Award and the 2016 Eddy Award. This RPAC Major Investor is a Hometown director and serves on the DeKalb Schools Facility/Finance Advisory Committee.
Andrea Greenwalt of Janko Realty & Development in Peru and will be the REALTOR® of the Year for the Illini Valley Association of REALTORS® (IVAR). She is the Illini Valley president, coaches at Tonica schools and volunteers at the Illinois Valley Peru PADS Shelter.
