Downing

Thomas Downing, a broker for @properties Chicago, earned the GRI designation Sept. 1, 2016, becoming the first Illinois REALTOR® to graduate since the new curriculum went online Aug. 1.

Downing has only been licensed for about 16 months, yet in his first fully licensed year, he made over $10 million in sales. He is currently nominated for Rookie of the Year – Suburbs 2016 by the Chicago Association of REALTORS®.

“I sought the the GRI designation because it provides an elevated baseline for my real estate business knowledge,” Downing said. “I know I’m providing something extra to my clients and throughout the real estate transaction.”

Downing’s success stems from his commitment to education, hard work and exceptional service to clients. Prior to his real estate career, Downing founded and managed a customer experience consultancy that served high-profile clients such as Time Warner Cable and Disney, helping them develop and maintain positive customer experiences that increased loyalty and sales.
