The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has issued an alert to licensees about a new scam that might try to target your personal information. The scammers send letters to licensees that appear to be from IDFPR, stating your license has been suspended. You are then asked to call a phone number included in the letter.
IDFPR uses a deliberate enforcement process and does not suspend licenses just by sending a letter. If you receive a letter like this, do not call the phone number.
