Congratulations to Illinois REALTOR® Michael D. Oldenettel, who has been installed as the 2023 National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Member Engagement Liaison. Oldenettel, a managing broker with The Real Estate Group Inc. in Springfield, served as president of Illinois REALTORS® in 2013.
He was chosen for his new role by 2023 NAR President Kenny Parcell. As the member engagement liaison, Oldenettel will help NAR committees and committee leaders understand the issues they will face and focus on priorities of the NAR Leadership Team. He’ll mentor committee chairs, measure progress of committees toward their goals, and he’ll facilitate communications between the Leadership Team and committees.
Oldenettel has served at all levels of the REALTOR® organization. In 2021, he was NAR Region 7 Regional Vice President, has led his local association many times including this year as president of Capital Area REALTORS®. In 2018, he was named Illinois REALTOR® of the Year.
