Illinois REALTORS® recently heard from top-ranking state real estate regulators on timelines for restructured education requirements affecting new broker licensees.

On hand were Acting Director Mario Treto Jr. and Deputy Director Laurie Murphy with the Real Estate Division of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

They also addressed other changes to the Real Estate License Act (RELA) that became effective Aug. 9, 2019.

Treto and Murphy discussed some of the reasons for changes and clarifications that are part of the new legislation.
