Intersect Illinois today announced that Illinois REALTORS® CEO Jeffrey Baker will join its board of directors, helping further the organization’s mission of bringing economic growth and jobs to Illinois.

“Companies making location decisions need reputable corporate real estate professionals during the site selection process and residential realtors to assist relocating employees,” said Intersect Illinois CEO Dan Deals. “It is natural that Illinois REALTORS® works hand-in-hand with Intersect Illinois in bringing companies here and finding them the perfect location in Illinois.”

Since his appointment as Illinois REALTORS CEO in January 2021, Baker has increased the association’s efforts to market Illinois, resuming MIPIM attendance after the pandemic postponed earlier versions and adding C5 Commercial Summit in NYC in 2021.

Baker had served as the association’s associate general counsel and has worked in various capacities with the association since 2014. Baker previously had his own law practice and worked for the Sorling Northrup law firm in Springfield.

“I welcome Jeffrey Baker to Intersect Illinois’ board of directors, where his expertise in the real estate market will help guide our business attraction and expansion efforts,” said Intersect Illinois board chairman and Loop Capital CEO Jim Reynolds.

Baker joins board members from companies including A. Lucas & Sons, Ameren Illinois, ADM, Carle Health, ComEd, 8 Hospitality Group, Loop Capital, Nicor Gas, OSF Healthcare and the University of Illinois System.
