The Peoria Area Association of REALTORS® (PAAR) and the Kankakee-Iroquois-Ford Association of REALTORS® (KIFAR) will have new chief executive officers in 2020.

PAAR CEO Dallas Hancock announced her retirement last week, effective Dec. 31. Earlier this year, KIFAR CEO Connie Legris announced her retirement plans, also effective Dec. 31. Both associations are in the process of finding replacements for next year.

Hancock has led PAAR for more than 34 years as CEO. In 2018, she became general manager of the RMLS Alliance regional MLS. She has served on numerous committees for Illinois REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). She holds the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation.

In 2016, Hancock was named winner of the Illinois REALTORS® Rhino Award, an annual executive award which recognizes longstanding leadership, service, strength and loyalty to the profession. In 2012, Hancock was inducted into the NAR Dr. Almon R. “Bud” Smith Association Executive Leadership Society, one of the highest honors an association executive can receive in the REALTOR® community.

Legris joined KIFAR in 1993 as the MLS coordinator for the association. She became CEO in 1998. She’s served on the Illinois REALTORS® Association Executive Committee, the Professional Standards Committee and the Housing Opportunity Working Group. She’s served on several working groups for the state association and several focus groups for NAR.

Legris said she takes pride in the fact that KIFAR was once featured at an NAR 360 presentation in Washington, D.C., and that she participated in a joint presentation at an NAR Association Executive Institute about tools that small boards could use in day-to-day administration. She also has earned the RCE designation.
