Ginger Downs
The Illinois Association of REALTORS® congratulates Virginia “Ginger” Downs, RCE, CAE, IOM, Chief Executive Officer of the Chicago Association of REALTORS®, on her appointment to serve as Treasurer on the Board of Regents of REALTOR® University, a graduate school concentrating on real estate and real estate business.
As treasurer, along with the Finance Committee, Downs will present matters of financial significance to the school for review and adoption by the REALTOR® University Board of Regents. In addition, she will be responsible for proposing annual operating and capital budgets, changes in tuition, long-term financial plans and investment policies. She will also oversee budget review, asset management, risk management and other aspects of the University’s financial operating policies and procedures.
Appointed to her current role at C.A.R. in 2005, Downs also serves as the 2012 Chair of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Association Executives Committee and devotes time to myriad other committees, task forces and volunteer leadership roles.
