During the past week, both chambers of the General Assembly concentrated on making final changes to bills and advancing them to the second chamber.

Although legislators did not take action on any Rent Control proposals, today’s State Capitol Report highlighted a measure initiated by the Cook County Assessor that we OPPOSED and a measure on local government consolidation that we SUPPORTED.

Friday, April 12 marks the next critical deadline for the General Assembly. It’s the date that bills must pass through their chamber of origin.
