The market for vacation homes was strong in 2014, with sales of vacation properties climbing to 1.13 million last year, a 57.4 percent jump compared to 2013 and the highest level since the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) began tracking such properties in 2003 with its Investment and Vacation Home Buyers Survey.
