Economist, author and University of Chicago professor Steven Levitt will share ideas REALTORS® can use to enhance their businesses at the REALTOR® Conference & Expo in Chicago on Sunday, Nov. 5.

Register today.

Levitt is the third of four entrepreneurs outside the real estate industry who’ll present during the Spotlight Series at the conference. REALTORS® may be familiar with two books he’s co-authored, Freakonomics (2005) and SuperFreakonomics (2009). He also is a co-author of the Freakonomics Blog.

Freakonomics was on the New York Times Best Seller list for more than two years and consumers bought more than 5 million copies. Levitt’s books and many of the articles he wrote for media publications apply his knowledge of economics to real-life issues such as gangs, abortion, prostitution, guns, global warming, seat belts and car seats, according to Levitt’s website.

Levitt is the William B. Ogden Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. He also directs the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory. He’s been with the university since 1997.

In 2004, he was honored with the John Bates Clark Medal as the most influential economist under 40 years of age. Two years later, Time magazine named him one of “100 People Who Shape Our World.”

Make sure you register for a Premier Access pass or the Nov. 5 one-day registration to attend Levitt’s presentation. The first Spotlight Series speaker is Erin Meyer on Friday, Nov. 3, followed by Desirée Rogers on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The REALTOR® Conference & Expo runs Nov. 3-6 at the McCormick Place West Building. Get more information.
