Illinois REALTORS® Deputy Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey T. Baker was named Thursday to the Springfield Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class for 2019.
The Springfield Business Journal released the names, photos and brief interviews of the winners on its website. The winners are chosen based on their contributions to the Springfield area business community and represent a variety of occupations and community affiliations.
Prior to his current position, Baker served as the associate general counsel and director of Legal Services for Illinois REALTORS® and worked at the association since 2014 when he started as one of its outside attorneys.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), a master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University (Washington, DC), and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
His experience includes involvement in numerous political campaigns for governor and U.S. Congress. Baker’s prior experience also includes working for his own law practice and for Sorling Northrup Law Office in Springfield, Illinois. He is an Auburn native.
