The second day of the Illinois REALTORS® 2025 REengage Winter Conference included multiple sessions led by expert speakers, the announcement of Michael Gobber as the 2025 REALTOR® of the Year and a reception for all attendees.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help you use your time more efficiently, replacing procrastination with productivity, said expert speaker Ifoma Pierre during, “Navigating the AI Landscape.”
  • He urged REALTORS® to use AI to produce creative content, which leads to great conversations that lead to conversions/closings.
  • Successful leaders are accountable, aware of their strengths and weaknesses, navigate uncomfortable conversations and can show their vulnerability to others, said NAR First Vice President Christine Hansen during, “Leading Effectively through Accountability with Results.”
  • It is critical to only enter sellers’ properties during specified days and times, so that anyone associated with your business doesn’t face an unauthorized access complaint or potential criminal complaint for violation of privacy. Director of Ethics and Professional Standards Mindie Nesch and Vice Chairman of Grievance Committee Brandon Shaffer led the discussion, “Don’t Just Come On In.”
  • Your association continues to monitor issues critical to your business, such as potential changes to: clear cooperation, practice changes, buyer broker agreements, notice of no agency and TikTok. Treasurer Deb Prodehl and Chicago REALTOR® Sarah Ware led the session, “Change is the Only Constant.”
  • CAR CEO Michelle Mills Clement and Mid-Illinois REALTORS® Association CEO Diane Cote shared leadership strategies that helped them adapt and succeed despite unexpected changes within their associations. During their session, “Expect the Unexpected,” they agreed that qualities like flexibility, teamwork and humor were essential to success.
  • Illinois REALTORS Legal Hotline Attorney Victoria Munson presented a multitude of issues that members have asked her about during, “You Heard It on the Hotline.”
  • April Simpkins presented five ways for REALTORS® to maintain their mental health at work during, “Prioritizing Mental Health.”
