The banquet, which will celebrate the contributions of IAR ROTY Loretta Alonzo and 26 local association ROTYs, begins at 6:30 p.m. June 16 with a reception at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum, followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. Tickets cost $75 each.

Among those being honored are:

Glenn Swick of Swick Realty in Quincy is the ROTY for the Quincy Association of REALTORS®. Swick served as local association president, as well as a member of the board of directors and several local committees. He is the past chair of IAR’s Professional Standards Committee, a trained IAR ombudsman and mediator, and a local Rotary Club member.

Ron Ewing of RE/MAX Horizon in Elgin is the REALTOR® Association of the Fox Valley’s ROTY. Ewing served as president of the local association, and on various committees at the local and state level. He chairs the Government Relations Committee for his local association.

Joan D. Welt of Choice Realty in Freeport is the ROTY for the REALTOR® Association of Northwestern Illinois. Welt served on the local board since 2009 and was the 2012 association president. She is involved in Freeport advocacy issues, a volunteer with many local charitable organizations and a leader in city rebuilding issues.

Joe Hardin of BARBER Murphy Group, Inc., in Shiloh is the ROTY for the REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois. Hardin served as local association president and on numerous local and state committees. He is influential in fighting for property owner rights, RPAC investing and FEMA flood map issues.

Rebecca Thalhofer of Gambino Realtors in Rockford is the ROTY for the Rockford Area Association of REALTORS®. Thalhofer serves as the local board director and has been a long-time member of the local education and MLS committees. She is active with WCR and RPAC, and she is passionate about supporting her community.

Andrew Cook of Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell in Morris is the ROTY for the Three Rivers Association of REALTORS®. Since 2004, Cook has served on numerous local and state committees as well as the local and state board of directors. He is a state legislative contact, an RPAC ambassador and a major investor.
