Illinois REALTORS® Executive Vice President Luke Bell

The Illinois REALTORS® announced Monday that Luke Bell will join the state’s 44,000-member real estate trade association as its new executive vice president.

Bell, who is vice president of governmental affairs/general counsel for the Kansas Association of REALTORS®, will begin his new role in Illinois on June 1.

Illinois REALTORS® CEO Gary L. Clayton made the announcement at the group’s Springfield headquarters during a reception celebrating the association’s 100th anniversary.

One of the association’s ongoing strengths is its ability to look to the future and find leaders who have the vision and commitment to enhance the long-term growth and well-being of the state’s real estate industry and Bell will carry that mission forward, said Illinois REALTORS® CEO Gary L. Clayton.

As executive vice president, Bell will be second in line to lead the Illinois REALTORS®.

He holds a juris doctorate from the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas. In his current role in Kansas, he is responsible for working with local, state and federal officials on issues of importance to the real estate industry, and he oversees efforts to mobilize the Kansas association’s 8,000 members on private property issues. He supervises the state association’s professional standards efforts.

In a statement, Bell said the Illinois association is a leader in advocacy, political action and professional development programs and he is thrilled to be joining the team at Illinois REALTORS®.
