John Vranas, of Vranas Ventures Inc., was named 2013 REALTOR® of the Year at the IAR Public Policy meetings in East Peoria, Ill., on Wednesday.
Congratulations to the 2013 Illinois REALTOR® of the Year, John P. Vranas, of Vranas Ventures Inc., a property management company in Chicago.
Every year, the Illinois Association of REALTORS® (IAR) honors a member who shows outstanding integrity and dedication to excellence in enhancing the real estate profession. The award also honors leadership and service to civic, community and charitable causes.
Vranas, of Lincolnwood, Ill., began his real estate career in 1978 and has been a devoted REALTOR® and industry leader who has been active at the local, state and national level.
In 2006, Vranas received IAR’s Distinguished Service Award, which honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions and service to the Illinois Association of REALTORS® and their local communities.
He is committed to political advocacy and furthering the REALTOR® cause. He is recognized as an RPAC Major Investor and in 2010 was inducted into the RPAC Hall of Fame.
Vranas is a member and past president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and in 2004, was named Chicago REALTOR® of the Year. Nationally, he has lent his time and expertise serving on the National Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors and various committees.
Vranas will be honored at the REALTOR® of the Year banquet April 17 in Springfield.
