Illinois Needs More Housing…
Illinois REALTORS® have advocated for policies to expand affordable housing statewide the past five years. With Gov. JB Pritzker making housing a top priority this spring, there’s never been a more critical time to show up at Capitol Conference and have a direct impact.
The Building Up Illinois Developments, or BUILD plan being considered by the state legislature would increase housing by:
- Eliminating bans on accessory dwelling units
- Allowing duplexes, triplexes and other “missing middle housing” in more areas
- Standardizing impact fees
- Reducing inspection red tape and more
