Helen Oliveri #MemberMonday

Simply put, Helen Oliveri volunteers for the Caring Women’s Connection because its mission of building connections with fellow volunteers and helping Lake County charities for women and children makes her proud.

“I find it important to give back and help those in need,” says Oliveri, a managing broker for the Hawthorn Woods office of Keller Williams Realty Partners. “Its mission is one I can really stand behind and be proud to contribute to. I love living and working in a community that works together to help others.”

Oliveri has given to the Caring Women’s Connection as a corporate member, food drive drop-off sponsor and as a fashion show gold and silver donation sponsor.

Helping during a food drive made an impact on Oliveri. “It was rewarding to fill boxes with food for the women and children of Lake County who were in need,” she explained. “We filled two large boxes with lots of non-perishable items and were told that we had a very successful drive that would feed many during this holiday season. Using our office as a drop off location was rewarding as local community members in Hawthorn Woods stopped by to share their support, too.”

The Caring Women’s Connection (CWC) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.  The organization conducts fundraising events and uses donations to help Lake County-based charitable organizations serving women and children and other Lake County community programs, such as: A Safe Place, Lake County Haven, Mount Saint Joseph, Staben House, Emmaus House and the Chapel Food Pantry. The Holiday Helpers Program helps make the holidays brighter for shelters. The CWC also awards a scholarship to a deserving high school senior in Lake County each year.
