This week on the Illinois REALTORS® Weekly podcast, we're shining a spotlight on the Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) – an organization that steps up when Illinois families are facing their hardest days.

Whether it's flooding, tornadoes, or other extreme weather, natural disasters can leave people feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn. That's where IRRF comes in. As Cathy Madaus and Brandi Buchele explain in the episode, the foundation offers quick, meaningful financial help – up to $500 per household – to cover things like housing needs or damage not covered by insurance.

Right now, IRRF has three active relief campaigns open for people impacted by recent storms:

  • Southern Illinois Flooding (April 2, 2025) | Deadline to apply: July 31, 2025
  • Southern Illinois Tornadoes (May 2025) | Deadline to apply: August 31, 2025
  • Jacksonville Tornadoes (June 18, 2025) | Deadline to apply: October 31, 2025

If you or someone you know was affected, don't wait. Funds are first-come, first-served—and help is available.
