The Illinois REALTORS®’ offices in Springfield will be closed Monday, Jan. 16, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Illinois REALTORS® offices will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 17.
King was born on Jan. 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Ga., and he became a civil rights leader in the United States. He sought change through peaceful protests. He was assassinated in 1968 in Memphis, Tenn.
