The New Normal Practice Changes: Turn Negotiations Into Transactions

The New Normal demands that we stop being order takers and start being negotiators. Negotiating sales contracts got a little bit more complicated with our new compensation arrangements and we need to be sure the New Normal doesn’t get in the way of having a successful transaction. Join us for a no-holds-barred discussion of what you should – and should not – be doing and saying when negotiating contracts in today’s market.

At the end of this session the participants will be able to:

  1. Assist their sellers in the analysis of the sellers’ options regarding offer of compensation, be able to communicate how those options affect the sale of their property and know how to work with the buyer agents who don’t understand.
  2. Assist the buyers in understanding and analyzing their options when it comes to viewing property and have a plan to implement whichever option the buyer chooses as well as implement a strategy for working with listing agents who do not understand the New Normal.
  3. Understand the process of presentation and negotiation of offers – focusing on the misinformation and mistakes made by the media, the lawyers and what the consumers ‘think’ is going on since those misdirections are causing transactions to stall – fail – and in some cases never even come together.
