Presidential Medallions

Illinois REALTORS® honored six members with Presidential Medallions for significant contributions to the association and to the real estate industry. The awards were presented at a meeting of the association’s Board of Directors, Sept. 19, 2019, in Naperville. The Presidential Medallions are awarded annually at the discretion of the outgoing presiding officer.

Let’s Talk Real Estate

Illinois REALTORS®’ members met with 11 of the state’s congressional representatives in Q3/2019 as part of the association’s committment to make sure federal officials understand real estate issues. This came after meetings in the series were set up with seven other officials in Q2/2019. By the end of Q4/2019, Illinois REALTORS® will have met with all 18 congressional representatives and both senators.

Executive Committee Summary

Here is a subject matter list of activities addressed by the Executive Committee.

  • The 2020 Illinois REALTORS® Executive Committee met in July for its annual Leadership Retreat where long range planning and programs were discussed for the coming years.

  • Authorization given to continue and increase funding for Illinois REALTORS® Industry Partner organizations ad programs.

  • Met one-on-one with the Dearborn REALTIST® Board of Directors and the NAHREP Chicago Board of Directors to discuss our ongoing partnerships.

  • Ed Neaves was sworn into office on Sept. 19 as the 102nd President of Illinois REALTORS®.

  • Neaves, along with CEO Gary Clayton and Deputy CEO Jeff Baker attended the Midwest Japan Association conference where they joined state development officials in marketing the state overseas.

  • Selected four members to receive stipends to attend EXPO Real in Munich, Germany in October.

  • Members of the leadership team attended several local association installations; and the NSBAR and Peoria’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
