Laurie Murphy is the Chief of Boards and Complaints for Real Estate Brokerage and Community Association Management, as well as the Real Estate Coordinator for the Division of Real Estate of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

In her capacity as the Real Estate Coordinator, Murphy serves as the resident expert on real estate brokerage and leads the Real Estate Administration and Disciplinary Board (the READ board) as its Chairperson.

Previously, Murphy served as the managing broker of Midwest Premier Properties Inc., DBA Keller Williams Premiere Properties in Glen Ellyn. As the managing broker, she provided guidance on real estate transactions, advised on compliance with license law and the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and developed risk reduction policies and education. Also, she trained and mentored new agents. Prior to Keller Williams, Murphy was the named managing broker for the Century 21 affiliated real estate brokerage firm in the far western suburbs.

A member of the board of directors for the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®, she also served as chairman of the Professional Standards Committee and a mediator and ombudsperson for MORe’s alternative dispute resolution services.
