On Monday night, Illinois REALTORS® was honored at the 10th annual Springfield Good as Gold Awards Ceremony, held at the University of Illinois-Springfield Student Union.
For the fourth consecutive year, the association was named to the Springfield Good as Gold Business Honor Roll for programs and practices that encourage employees to volunteer, organize and support service efforts as well as support nonprofit and charitable organizations through individual and corporate donations. Categories included: Good as Gold Business Honor Roll, Heart of Gold, Star Student, Organization of the Year, Youth Volunteer and Distinguished Volunteer.
Created by the University of Illinois-Springfield Volunteer & Civic Engagement Center, the Junior League of Springfield and the United Way of Central Illinois in 2009, the Good as Gold ceremony recognizes individuals and businesses for their community service. Citizens thank volunteers and businesses for those efforts during the event, which make Springfield a better place.
