REALTORS® can take advantage of early voting for April 7 consolidated elections

Make your voice heard, Illinois REALTORS®, and vote for REALTOR® champions during the upcoming consolidated elections, even if you can’t stop by your precinct on Election Day, April 7.

That’s what the early voting process in Illinois is all about.

Registered voters can cast a ballot prior to Election Day without explaining why. According to information provided by the Illinois State Board of Elections, registered voters must visit the county clerk or the office of the board of election commissioners to take advantage of early voting. The process begins 15 days before the election date and extends through the third day before the election. In Illinois’ upcoming election, early voters can cast votes through April 4.

Early voting was authorized in Illinois in 2005 by the Illinois General Assembly to encourage greater participation by people who work long hours, travel for business or find it difficult to get to the polls during regular hours .
