With the Illinois REALTORS Consulate Liaison program in its third year, new relationships continue to emerge. Last week, Matt Silver, Principal at Urban Real Estate and Illinois REALTORS® liaison met with Aviv Ezra, Consul General of Israel to the Midwest. Prior to coming to Chicago, Ezra was the Director of Congressional Affairs for the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Washington, D.C. and Jerusalem.

The meeting was also attended by Sharon Gorrell, Director of Global Business, Housing and Diversity and Elad Schnarch, Diplomatic Operations Director for the Consulate. A fruitful discussion centered on how Illinois REALTORS® can be a source for real estate market updates and information that can help investors and Israeli citizens who may want to relocate to the United States. The Consul was also excited to connect Silver with other Israeli trade groups in the Chicago area.
