Members of the National Association of REALTORS® (and Illinois REALTORS®) must successfully complete a 2.5-hour course in ethics, an element of NAR’s Code of Ethics. The policy requires that REALTORS® take ethics training within given two-year cycles and continue to update their education in successive two-year periods thereafter.
The current ethics cycle began January 1, 2019 and ends December 31, 2020.

Illinois REALTORS® Licensing & Training Center is offering a new gamified CE course that combines education with entertainment! Ethics Adventure is an interactive course on the Interact CE platform.
The course guides a REALTOR® through the purchase of a client’s home in an interactive graphic story (like a digital comic book where you choose your own path). You can experience scenarios that relate to all 17 articles of the Code of Ethics, safely explore ethical scenarios, and learn real-world lessons that directly apply to your business.
