Will the fall veto session impact REALTORS®?

The Illinois General Assembly acted on seven issues of interest to REALTORS® last week during the annual fall session, according to the latest Illinois REALTORS® State Capitol Report.

No veto override motions were filed on two issues of great interest to REALTORS® during the Spring 2018 legislative session: Senate Bill 3103 (Immigrant Tenant Protection Act) and Senate Bill 3052, a proposed amendment to the Contractor Prompt Payment Act about retainage. Get the details here.

Legislators will return to the Capitol on Nov. 27 and are scheduled to stay three days. Illinois REALTOR® lobbyists will continue to monitor their legislative activities on behalf of members and private property owners.
