Chuck Wiercinski

Longtime IAR member and former association board member Chuck Wiercinski was honored for a lifetime of service at IAR’s Board of Directors meeting in East Peoria on Jan. 22.

Wiercinski, who served on numerous IAR committees and had been honored with the association’s political involvement award, died in December after a long illness.

IAR Board member Pat Dalessandro accepted the proclamation on behalf of Wiercinski’s wife, Kathy. He will give it to her at a later date.

“He loved doing what he did,” Dalessandro said. “He was active in his community, chamber of commerce and was politically active at grass roots level. He played a large role in my life, and he was a good friend.”

Wiercinski was a member of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s Education Advisory Board. Wiercinski held numerous leadership positions with IAR. He chaired the Commercial Industrial Investment Committee four times since 2003, was vice chair and later chair of the Public Policy Member Involvement Group and vice chair and chair of the Business Issues/License Law Working Group.

Wiercinski was recognized with IAR’s Political Involvement Award in 2009, and was REALTOR® of the Year for the Northwest Suburban Association of REALTORS®, REALTOR® Association of Northwest Chicagoland and Northern Illinois Commercial Association of REALTORS®.
