Illinois REALTORS® thanks member Michael D. Oldenettel for serving as the 2023 National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Member Engagement Liaison.
Oldenettel, the designated managing broker of The Real Estate Group Inc. in Springfield, is in Anaheim this week representing Illinois and REALTORS® at NAR’s NXT Conference and Expo. In his term as the member engagement liaison, he helped NAR committees and committee leaders understand issues and focus on priorities of the 2023 NAR Leadership Team. He mentored committee chairs, measured progress of committees toward their goals, and facilitated communications between the Leadership Team and committees.
Oldenettel has been a leader at all levels of the REALTOR® organization. In 2021, Oldenettel served as the NAR Region 7 Regional Vice President, representing Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. He was the 2013 Illinois REALTORS® president and the 2018 Illinois REALTOR® of the Year. And he has served multiple terms as president of his local association, including 2022 President of Capital Area REALTORS®.
