A pair of state representatives and a state senator answered questions from local REALTORS® last week during a breakfast meeting near St. Louis.

Sen. Bill Haines of Alton, Rep. Jerry Costello of Red Bud and Rep. Charlie Meier of Highland fielded questions about the Illinois economy, sales taxes, Mississippi River levees, area transportation, the Metro East housing market and the economic impact of Scott Air Force Base on the region.

About 85 members and affiliate members gathered at the Four Points by Sheraton in Fairview Heights for the REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois’ REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) breakfast, said Ron Deedrick, local government affairs director for RASI.
