The REALTOR® Association of Southwestern Illinois (RASI) donated $1,000 to the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois in October.
The donation was made from funds raised by RASI’s Toni Hannon Golf Outing, held Aug. 14 at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville. Hannon was a RASI member committed to community service through the association and other non-profit organizations.
“Toni once wrote, ‘My belief, in anything I do, is treat everyone honestly, fairly and with respect,’” said RASI CEO Deb Frazier. “She exhibited all those qualities and more. But after Toni tragically lost her life in a domestic violence situation, we’ve honored her memory by hosting the golf outing and donating a portion of the proceeds to the Violence Prevention Center.
“Toni Hannon was a great friend and wonderful person,” said Frazier. “We are so happy we can host this event and donate to the Violence Prevention Center to honor her memory.”
For more than 40 years, the Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois has been a leader in providing safety, shelter, support and guidance to survivors of domestic violence. It works to eliminate domestic violence in individual lives and in society as a whole. The center offers a 24-Hour Hotline at 618-235-0892.
RASI is the voice for real estate in Southwestern Illinois, representing more than 1,000 REALTOR® members. It is led by Frazier, President Celeste Wheeler, President-elect Karen Sheesley, Treasurer Sam Row and Immediate Past President Donna Baker.
