Among the 23 local association REALTORS® of the Year who will be honored April 9 at the 37th Annual REALTOR® of the Year Banquet in Springfield are Cindy Schimmel, Casey Meyers and Marianne James.

Schimmel, a broker for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bradley, is the REALTOR® of the Year for the Kankakee-Iroquois-Ford Association of REALTORS® (KIFAR). She was the 2015 KIFAR president and she continues to serve on multiple committees for the local association.
Meyers, a broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Starck Real Estate in Woodstock, is the REALTOR® of the Year for the Heartland REALTOR® Organization. She has served on the association’s board of directors, numerous committees and as president. She played an instrumental role in forming the Heartland Cares Task Force and promoting the association’s involvement in several charitable events, including the Family Health Partnership Clinic’s Cancer Walk.
James, a broker with House 2 Home Realty in Marion, is the REALTOR® of the Year for the Egyptian Board of REALTORS®. A former Egyptian president, she has served on several local and state committees. For Illinois REALTORS®, she’s serves on the Professional Standards Committee, the Public Policy & Governmental Affairs Member Involvement Group and is the State Legislative Contact for Rep. Dave Severin, 117th District. She’s also served as a director on the Illinois Real Estate Education Foundation (REEF). A Sterling R contributor for RPAC in 2017, she is an RPAC Major Investor.
All three will join Illinois REALTOR® of the Year Michael D. Oldenettel of RE/MAX Professionals, Springfield, at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield for this special event. A reception begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. The deadline for ordering tickets is March 19. Tickets are $75 each.
