Volunteers install siding at a Habitat for Humanity home being built by Illinois REALTORS® in Murphysboro.

Interested in working on the habitat for Humanity home in Murphysboro? There are two sets of dates left for volunteers to lend a hand, and there are some important developments to be aware of.

  • The work scheduled for may 21-23 has changed. Originally volunteers were going to help install sheetrock, but a contractor has stepped into assist. Instead, the Egyptian Board of REALTORS® is coordinating workers to help landscape the property located at 1914 Clarke St. You can sign up by contacting association executive Charay Brewer at [email protected] or 618.364.0046.
  • The work schedule for May 8-10 has been rescheduled for May 29-31. You can sign up to help with finish work, trim and general cleanup at the site by going here.

The project got off to a great start beginning April 4, and the walls are up, the roof is on and volunteers have completed siding for the structure.
