RealtyTrac: U.S. foreclosure activity down in September, marks 36 months of annual declines

U.S. foreclosure activity rose 2 percent in September compared to August but was 27 percent lower when comparing year-over-year data, RealtyTrac reported today. Month-to-month trends may vary, but when looking at the longer picture, September marks the 36th consecutive month of annual decreases.
