Brad W. Andersen, Chris Stephens, Brian Kwilosz and April Hix will be among local Illinois association REALTORS® of the Year (ROTY) honored April 24 at the 2023 REALTOR® of the Year Banquet in Springfield. Register to attend now.
The ROTY award recognizes members who have done exceptional work to advance their association and the real estate industry.
Andersen is the 2022 NSBAR ROTY and is the principal broker of the GGL Group at Compass in Lake Forest. A licensed REALTOR® for more than 25 years, an RPAC Major Investor and a State Legislative Contact, he is known for his philanthropy and local stewardship. As NSBAR president, he led the drive to modernize the Northbrook NSBAR campus and to establish the NSBAR Cares Philanthropic Initiative. He was named 2021 recipient of the NSBAR Cares Good Neighbor Award. He’s involved in his community as past president of the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Rotary Club and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Lions Club.
Stephens was the North Shore-Barrington Association of REALTORS® (NSBAR) 2021 ROTY and is the designated managing broker and corporate trainer for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, with offices in Barrington, Evanston and Winnetka. During his tenure as NSBAR president, he led a nationwide search for the association’s next chief executive officer and his commitment to the organization’s mission statement and strategic initiatives has continued. He helped reimagine the NSBAR campus and leads the Member & Member Benefits Committee.
Kwilosz is the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® ROTY and is a broker for EXIT Real Estate Partners in Downers Grove. He was the local association’s president at the start of the COVID pandemic, founded Mainstreet’s YPN program and envisioned its allied partners program, which brings together the Dearborn REALTISTS®, the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, the local chapter leaders of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Asian Real Estate Association of America and Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
Hix is the Central Illinois Board of REALTORS® ROTY and is a broker for Classic Homes Realty in Danville. She served on the Professional Standards Committee for Illinois REALTORS®, is a regular supporter of RPAC and a frequent facilitator-organizer for the Central Illinois Board. She also volunteers for many Danville-area organizations, including Festival of Trees, Balloons Over Vermillion, The Dwelling Place, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army and Danville District 118 Schools.
On April 24, Anderson, Stephens, Kwilosz and Hix will join Illinois REALTOR® of the Year Ezekiel “Zeke” Morris, designated managing broker of EXIT Strategy Realty/EMA Management, South Side of Chicago, at the President Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree Hotel. The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner and program at 6:30 p.m.
