Edwardsville-area REALTOR® Mark Massey is a member of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame Class of 2019.

“I feel very privileged that I’m able to join those in the Hall of Fame,” said Massey, broker for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Elite Properties in Edwardsville. “That makes me very happy.”

He was one of nine Illinois REALTORS® honored during a virtual ceremony April 23. He and seven of his colleagues qualified for Hall of Fame induction after reaching $25,000 in lifetime aggregate investments during their careers.

A former president of the Greater Gateway Association of REALTORS®, Massey is involved with several Illinois REALTORS® committees, including 2020 RPAC Trustees. He has served on the Finance Committee for three years. He is the Illinois REALTORS® State Legislative Contact for Sen. Rachelle Crowe of Wood River.

“Investing in RPAC is important to my business because it shows the public – and particularly my clients – that I have a vested interest in their homeownership,” says Massey, a REALTOR® since 2006. “I’m not just out there willy-nilly finding them a home, and then I’m done with them after the transaction.”

He was a Platinum R investor in 2019 and a member of the President’s Circle. He is a five-time Major Investor and a member of the President’s Circle twice.

Other inductees included:

  • Deborah Ahrens, a broker for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Elite Properties in Edwardsville and Dolan Realtors in Union, Mo.
  • Nicholas H. Apostal, a broker for Keller Williams Chicago-Lincoln Park.
  • Matthew Farrell, managing partner and designated managing broker for Urban Real Estate in Chicago.

Illinois REALTORS® annually recognizes new inductees in Springfield before they are officially inducted into the National Association of REALTORS® RPAC Hall of Fame in Washington, D.C. The names of all nine REALTORS® will be placed on the Hall of Fame Wall at the Illinois REALTORS® headquarters and the national ceremony will be scheduled in the future.
