Real estate trends and demand, perspectives from China and Hong Kong

Register today for a discussion about “Real Estate Trends for China and Hong Kong” at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 at the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® office in Downers Grove. Fill out the registration form now because seating is limited.

The panel of speakers will include: Xu Liu, chief financial officer of Anbang International; Winchell Cheung, executive director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council; and Ellen Phillips, managing broker for 5i5j Realty Group in Buffalo Grove. Michelle Shang, managing broker and co-owner of Unity Realty in Chicago, and Illinois REALTORS® Consulate General Liaison for China will serve as moderator.

Illinois REALTORS Global Business Council logoLiu has more than 20 years of financial expertise and he managed real estate investments for Anbang International, including the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and the 717 Fifth Avenue office condominium building in New York. Anbang International is the global investment arm of Anbang Insurance Group.

Chueng is responsible for the formulation and implementation of the council’s trade development and marketing programs. He helps foster business and investment ties between Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and 20 midwestern states.

Phillips was the first American executive hired to launch of China’s leading residential brokerage in the United States.

The event is organized by the Illinois REALTORS® Global Business Council and the Chicago Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA).
