Some of the best mentoring relationships happen organically and are built over time as REALTORS® discover shared goals and values. That’s one of conclusions that NAR YPN Advisory Board Member Yared Rivera and Illinois Advisory Group Chair Ryan Elwell make in today’s Illinois REALTORS® podcast.

But other times, they say, mentoring can be more situational, such as when more experienced REALTORS® help less experienced REALTORS® navigate circumstances they’ve never gone through before. In other words, there is more than one way for real estate professionals to learn from each other, whether they are mentors or mentees.
