February contract signings went up more than expected in most areas of the United States according to NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun but low inventory and concerns about affordability restricted overall activity compared to February 2017.

In the NAR Pending Home Sales Index, contract signings went up 3.1 percent to 107.5 in February, even though they’d been predicted to only reach 104.3 in January. The index is reported to be 4.1 percent below last February. Get more information from NAR.
