Congratulations to Illinois REALTOR® Matt Silver on being named the 2027 Housing Issues Liaison  for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). The announcement was made during this week’s NAR Legislative Meetings in Washington, D.C.

Silver is a partner and senior broker with Corcoran Urban Real Estate in Chicago. He served as the 2024 President of Illinois REALTORS®. He has been actively involved with NAR over the years, serving multiple terms on NAR’s Board of Directors as well as chairing NAR’s Federal Legislative Political Forum and as the Region 7 Representative of the RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee.

Liaisons are chosen by the NAR President to serve as a conduit for communication between the leadership group and assigned committees, help committees operate effectively and help identify future committee leaders. Only 15 liaisons are chosen each year from REALTOR® leadership and membership around the country.
