The Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® (MORe) kicked off a new partnership in northern Illinois this holiday season by supplying volunteers for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Members contributed more than 130 volunteer hours and collected $3,452 in contributions. The time and the donations will help families in need in Chicago and suburban communities where Mainstreet REALTORS® live and work.

“Far too many people in the Chicago area had their homes devastated by natural disasters such as tornadoes or floods in recent years,” said MORe President Michael Gobber. “That’s why we’re proud to ‘ring the bell’ to support our neighbors in need and continue to strengthen the communities we love.

“Mainstreet REALTORS® are strong supporters of the communities they live, work and volunteer in,” Gobber said. “We’re so grateful to the Salvation Army for its continued work on behalf of the people of northern Illinois, and for the chance to help make a difference. We appreciate all of those who have participated in the Red Kettle campaign, and we wish all of our members and area homeowners a happy and healthy New Year!”

MORe, with almost 18,000 members, is led by: President Michael Gobber, President-elect Brian Kwilosz, Treasurer Linda Dressler, Immediate Past President Karen Irace and CEO John Gormley.
