Illinois REALTORS® is encouraging licensees who have branch office licenses, or an entity license such as broker corporation, broker partnership, or limited liability firm to renew online with IDFPR before the Oct. 31, 2018 deadline.
Professions currently in renewal:
- Real Estate Branch Office
- Real Estate Broker Corporation
- Real Estate Broker Partnership
- Real Estate Limited Liability Firm.
With regard to the branch license, even though the license is no longer required effective January 1, 2019, IDFPR is asking the licensees to renew, but without a fee. The renewal of the branches will provide IDFPR a record of branches that will ultimately become a list of office locations for the sponsoring brokerage companies when the branch license goes away. The online renewal will function much the same way as it does for other professions except the fee will show as $0.00 and the licensee will be able to click through to process the renewal.
