Congratulations to Jeff Kolbus, of RE/MAX Traders Unlimited in Peoria, who has been named the 2024 treasurer nominee for the state association.

Kolbus, a member of the Peoria Area Association of REALTORS®, was announced as the nominee at the Illinois REALTORS® Capitol Conference in Springfield Tuesday. The Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors is expected to formally place him on the association’s leadership ladder later this year.

He is a past president of his local association, leading it in 2002. Also, he has been active at the national level, serving on the 2023 NAR Federal Political Coordinators Advisory Committee.

Kolbus has built a reputation of service with Illinois REALTORS®, serving on multiple state association committees since 2001, including chairs of the 2021 Public Policy Forum, the 2018 REALTORS® Political Action Committee and the 2018 RPAC Trustees. He’s served multiple terms on the Illinois REALTORS® Board of Directors and is the State Legislative Contact for Sen. Win Stoller of Germantown Hills (R – 37) District. In 2014, he graduated from the Illinois REALTORS® Leadership Development Program.

With more than 29 years in the real estate industry, Kolbus joins the 2024 leadership slate: Matt Silver, partner and senior broker for Corcoran Urban Real Estate in Chicago, who will become president; Tommy Choi, co-founder and owner of Weinberg Choi Residential at Keller Williams ONEChicago, who will become president-elect; and Michael Gobber, designated managing broker-partner of Century 21 Affiliated in Westchester, who will be immediate past president.
