The Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) is accepting applications from northern Illinois property owners who have been affected by the recent historic flooding.

IRRF is Illinois REALTORS® charitable arm which focuses on helping those affected by disasters, and has provided thousands of dollars in assistance over the past few years.

This latest effort to provide assistance targets counties that fall under a state disaster proclamation issued Friday for Kane, Lake and McHenry counties.

Who is eligible for IRRF assistance?

Anyone who is a full-time Illinois resident, a U.S. citizen and who meets the criteria of the program is eligible to obtain funds.

  • Relief assistance is limited to $500 per application.
  • Assistance can be used for the applicant’s home-related items.
  • Assistance is need-based and other forms of assistance may be taken into consideration when awarding grants.
  • All grants made through IRRF are based on availability of funds and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

To apply for aid, download and fill out this form. If you know someone who needs assistance and meets the criteria, please share the information.
